Variety Bash

WIM Resource Pty Ltd (WIM) is pleased to provide its support to a locally based team car participating in this year’s Variety Victoria Bash 2026 charity event.
The Horsham-based vehicle, affectionately named ‘Santa’s Sleigh,’ will be driven by long-time Wimmera residents Ian Day, Dale McIntyre, and Robert Jess. The team members will trade in their regular local bus driving roles to tackle the exhilarating challenge of driving 5,000 kilometres across Australia for a worthy cause.
The Variety Victoria Bash is Australia’s most iconic and longest-running outback charity motoring event. This year’s bash will start in the Grampians at Halls Gap on 18 August and the Santa’s Sleigh team will join a convoy of close to 100 unique vehicles, all 25 years old or more, heading west across Australia, planning to arrive 10 days later in Exmouth, WA.
All participating cars are decked out in unique themes and colourful costumes for the crew, with funds raised by the teams being distributed by Variety across Victoria as part of their ongoing children’s charity and support programs.
